{"id":76051,"date":"2021-12-21T18:27:10","date_gmt":"2021-12-21T17:27:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.lassoued.tn\/?page_id=76051"},"modified":"2022-11-23T10:33:35","modified_gmt":"2022-11-23T09:33:35","slug":"sandblasting","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.lassoued.tn\/en\/our-activities\/sandblasting\/","title":{"rendered":"Sandblasting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;Sandblasting&#8221; font_container=&#8221;tag:h2|font_size:20|text_align:left&#8221; el_class=&#8221;heading-title-3&#8243;][vc_column_text]<b> sandblasting <\/b> is an industrial technique for cleaning large surfaces using an abrasive sprayed at high speed with compressed air through a nozzle, on the material to be stripped.<\/p>\n<p>When the abrasive consists of balls, we also speak or rather of shot peening.<\/p>\n<p>Sandblasting is used in many industries; it is also a facelifting technique.<\/p>\n<p>The projection of sand at high speed on a surface has several effects:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It pickles, deoxidizes, removes a fragile surface layer (paint for example).<\/li>\n<li>It creates a roughness, which facilitates the adhesion of a coating, or gives an aspect to a mold for plastic parts, it is a good preparation before painting.<\/li>\n<li>It unpolishes, in particular glass, &#8220;sandblasted glass&#8221; appearance.<\/li>\n<li>Used for engraving (serial numbers on car windows, names on tombstones).<\/li>\n<li>When the abrasive is round, like glass beads, a satin effect is obtained. Used as a finish for stainless steel or aluminum welds. This is then called microbillage.<\/li>\n<li>At high power, the impacts cause plastic deformation and therefore modify the surface (work hardening, creation of compressive stresses, shot peening) Exploded view of a sandblasting gun<br \/>\nAt low power with scrub abrasives, you can clean without damaging the support.
